The UK’s government will approve the package plan to support the country’s two largest steel companies, British Steel and Tata Steel UK, to develop green transition. Each of the companies will receive around £300 million.

The grants were expected to apply in the transition from coking coal-fired blast furnaces to electric arc furnaces and compensation for electricity costs. Besides, it also could protect thousands of jobs in the UK’s industrial centers.
