The US government has imposed more sanctions on companies and mining firms from Russia and other regions that are thought to support the Russian government to continue its war and evade sanctions.

The companies that are sanctioned include Russian-registered Evraz affiliates and Publichnoe Aktsionernoe Obschestvo Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat (MMK). Additionally, suppliers of iron ore and coking coal were also targeted.

The US Department of the Treasury has targeted entities involved in Russia's metals and mining industry, including steel and coal mining companies and ancillary firms that provide professional services to these companies, with sanctions ranging from construction and financial services to engineering and trucking.

Besides, Italian and Turkish machine tool manufacturers have also been targeted.
