According to statistics, Japan exported a total of around 6.8 million tons of ferrous scrap in the first 11 months of this year, a year-on-year decline of 21.1%.

Among them, the exports to South Korea accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 2.8 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.8%. Vietnam ranked second with roughly 2.1 million tons, down by 32.4% year on year; followed by Taiwan’s 553,200 tons, sliding by 48% year on year.

In November alone, Japan’s exports of ferrous scrap totaled around 479,600 tons, dropping by 30.2% compared to the same month a year ago.
