According to the report, the Indian government official explained that the government began to negotiate the Broad-Based Trade and Investment Agreement (BTIA) with the European Union (EU), which focused on the temporary agreement before signing the final long-term agreement.

Recently, The Indian Minister of Commercial and the EU trade administrator have been initiated the first negotiation of the BTIA, they considered that the first negotiations encountered multiple barriers in 2017, therefore, the latest negotiations aimed to reach a provisional agreement and delivering comprehensive information on India-EU BTIA.
