China and the United States (US) trade war began. In order to retaliate against the Section 232 on levying the steel tariff, China announced that they have stopped the tariff concession obligation on the 128 US imports including the stainless steel pipe since April 2nd.

According to the reports, stopping the tariff concession obligation on the US imports was the decision of the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council. Because the Section 323 on Chinese steel and aluminum imports' tax rising not only violated the WTO regulations, but also damaged Chinese benefit as well.

Consequently, to protect Chinese benefits, China increased the tax on the basis of current tariff rates and stopped the tariff concession obligation on the US imports since April 2nd. Among them, the duty rate for stainless steel pipe would be 15%.
