It’s reported that due to the US President Donald Trump promises to tackle the unfair trades between U.S. and China, US government is going to launch anti-dumping investigation on whether imports cheap steel from China which damages the national security of United States.

However, the steel is one of the most controversial commodities in global market, especially when it’s made in China. China has been accused of dumping steel products into global market, causing serious damage to local steel producers. In fact, some countries and regions have taken actions to limit the steel imports from China.

EU has imposed anti-dumping taxes on China’s steel products, while the USITC declared that Chinese government export subsidies have undermined U.S. steel producers.

Chinese economists point out that though China is against US government decision, the prohibitory duties of Chinese steel products from US and other countries are unlikely to impact China’s economy, because most Chinese steel products are consumed domestically.
