According to the World Steel Association recently released data, the global steel apparent consumption per capita continued to show a downward trend, for three consecutive years decline.

Meanwhile, Taiwan's steel consumption per capita last year was 782.1/kg, increased by 30 kg/person from 750.8/kg compared with the same period of last year.

The data showed that Asian and the European Union’s steel consumption per capita grow last year, but North America, Central and South America, the Middle East, Africa, Oceania and CIS have declined overall.
