The demand for scrap in the 16 electric furnace mills in the Kanto region kept flat in November. The output of crude steel was expected to reach 420,000 tons in November, up by 1.5% from the same month a year ago, also up by 3.69% compared to the previous month. Besides, the production of steel in the same month was estimated to be 15,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 3.7%.

Among the 16 electric furnace mills, the crude steel output from 7 mills will be remained at a level in October, the output from 2 mills were planned to be lowered, and that from the remaining 7 mills will be raised.
