According to the report, the United States Trade Representative (USTR) explained that it begun to impose 25% tariffs on US$34 billion worth of Chinese goods on 6th July. After that, they also added tariffs on another 284 products. The commodity was focused on the "Made in China 2025" program, including aerospace, communications technology, robotics, industrial machinery, the new material and automobile sectors.

At present, the US decided to impose 25% tariffs on US$50 billion worth of Chinese goods. Among them, the aerospace industry would be affected by the tariff measure.

The general manager of Taiwanese Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) expressed that Taiwanese aerospace industries don’t use the materials from China will not be affected.
