According to a report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global nickel market had a supply shortage of 41,100 tons in the first half of this year. In 2020, the market had an oversupply of 92,700 tons.

In the first half of this year, global nickel demand was approximately 1.32 million tons, and the cumulative output was roughly 1.28 million tons.

In June, the global nickel market consumption was 238,400 tons, and the total output amounted to 244,000 tons.
