The US International Trade Commission (USITC) officially announced that Mexican standard steel welded wire meshes damaged US local industries.

The USITC said that the evidence submitted by the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) fully proved that the products involved in the case received subsidies from the Mexican government.

The USDOC launched an anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigation on standard steel welded wire mesh originating in Mexico in July last year, and it also imposed a temporary CVD last month.

This case was jointly applied by Insteel Industries, Mid-South Wire, National Wire, Oklahoma Steel and Wire, and Wire Mesh Corp.
