"232 National Security Investigation" issued by the US Department of Commerce will make a judgement by US President Donald Trump in April for imported steel from oversea. The US was the second largest export country of Taiwanese steel industry, only second by China. This situation caused a great impact for some service centers and end users. However, all of steel producers could do was to wait and see.

Part of Taiwanese steel products exported to the US has been imposed anti-dumping duty. If there was any new measure like tariff increase or restrictions on quota will harm Taiwanese steel market.

The economics officers said that the profit for steel industry was very low, so any limitation measures will make their market be more difficult.
