Reportedly, global-running aluminum manufacturer, Aleris, started delivering car-body sheet to its customers in the region from its new facility in Lewisport, KY. The company successfully expanded its capacity to serve the automotive industry.

The new facility was announced in 2014 and took US$400 million covering heat treatment and finishing lines, which included a new wide cold mill, two continuous annealing lines and an automotive innovation center.

The aluminum maker was running thirteen plants in North America, Europe and Asia, including nine rolling units in North America, mainly fed customers from construction, truck-trailer and metal distribution.
