Ontario Premier Doug Ford warned he would cut off electricity exports from Ontario to several American states in retaliation if US President Trump's 25% tariffs on Canadian goods are implemented.

Ford said that Canada would match the tariffs dollar-for-dollar and the US needs to feel the pain of their actions. He also suggested unity between federal and provincial governments in fighting US tariffs.

Trump announced on Monday that the tariffs would officially go into effect on Tuesday after a 30-day delay.
