US-based steelmaker Nucor Corporation announced its plan for the Towers & Structures business unit to build a US$200 million utility structures production facility in Brigham City, Utah, the third of its kind, alongside ongoing projects in Alabama and Indiana.

Located on Nucor's existing Brigham City campus, the Utah facility is expected to create 200 full-time jobs.

CEO Leon Topalian highlighted the strategic location to support the growing demand for utility infrastructure in the West due to distributed energy projects, data centers, and population growth, emphasizing the use of American-made, low-embodied carbon steel for sustainable energy infrastructure.
