ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt, a subsidiary of ArcelorMittal in Germany, is suspending production due to scheduled maintenance on its single blast furnace, BF 5A, with a yearly production capacity of 1.7 million tons.

Repairs will start on June 22, involving a brief shutdown for preparation before a controlled reduction in production. The blast furnace is expected to restart on June 27-28.

The company noted that temporary increases in dust and noise emissions are possible near the plant during these periods.
