First Copper Technology Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of copper products in Taiwan, held its annual meeting yesterday (June 26), reporting that the company is now expanding into the Indian market to diversify exports beyond Southeast Asia.

The company is developing high-strength, high-softening resistance, low internal stress materials for high-end semiconductors, and increasing high-conductivity, high-heat transfer materials for server cooling.

First Copper thinks decarbonization measures such as electric vehicles and renewable energy are key drivers of copper demand. It forecasts global copper demand to grow from 15 million tons in 2000 to 30 million in 2025, then 40 million by 2030, and 50 million by 2035. Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry also expects copper demand to double by 2035.

Currently, First Copper's sales are comprised of 66.5% domestic and 33.5% international sales.
