PT Aneka Tambang (Antam), a state-owned diversified mining company in Indonesia, reported that its ferronickel production totaled 5,100 ton nickel within ferronickel (TNi) in the second quarter of 2023, falling by 6.2% compared to the previous quarter and by 13.7% from the year-ago level. The decrease was mainly due to the total productive maintenance initiatives implemented at the Kolaka Ferronickel Plant.

In the second half of this year, ferronickel production was expected to grow after the new ferronickel plant facility in East Halmahera, North Maluku will be put into production.
