Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS), one of the steelmakers in Algeria, was about to receive the first batch of Brazilian direct reduction pellets, with a volume of about 54,000 tons, which was similar to the volume delivered on November 10th.

This was the third batch of direct reduction pellets received by AQS this year, the first batch had exported by Canada in the first half of September.

AQS planned to start the direct reduction iron plant by the end of this month, with an annual capacity of 2.5 million tons.
