On November 14, 2024, the UK’s Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) announced that it had made the final determination for a transition review on steel ropes and cables from China, including the subject products consigned from Morocco and South Korea. The period of investigation (POI) for the review was from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022. The damage investigation period was from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2022.

It decided that it will keep 60.4% of anti-dumping duty (AD) from Chinese exporters. At the same time, it also imposes the same duty on the subject goods consignments from Morocco and South Korea. The excluded makers are Remer Marco SARL from Morocco, Bosung Wire Rope Co., Ltd., Chung Woo Rope Co., Ltd., CS Co., Ltd., Cosmo Wire Ltd., Dae Heung Industrial Co., Ltd., Daechang Steel Co., Ltd., DSR Wire Corp., Goodwire MFG. Co. Ltd., Kiswire Ltd., Manho Rope & Wire Ltd., Line Metal Co., Ltd., Seil Wire and Cable, Shin Han Rope Co., Ltd., Ssang Yong Cable Mfg. Co., Ltd. and Young Heung Iron & Steel Co., Ltd from South Korea.
