Market participants have said that Posco has secured the contract to supply steel products like EG for Sony.

In January, Toyota, the biggest auto-maker in Japan, decided to use Posco's steel products in order to cut costs. As of April, Posco will provide Toyota with 5,000-10,000 tons GI monthly.

Sony mainly uses Posco's EG to make liquid crystal televisions and will probably use more Posco's EG after 2010.

Due to a slackening of domestic demand, Posco will expand its exports this year. Thanks to the devaluation of the South Korean currency, Posco's products will enjoy greater competitiveness.
