Reportedly, while the price of tin dropped US$25,000~ US$26,650/ton at London Metal Exchange (LME), the tin prices fell by US$100/ton in the end of last week to US$27,000/ton in Kuala Lumpur Tin Market.

Dealers said that the tin price is likely to remain at around US$27,000/ton as some traders have concerned over global economic recovery following the release of weak US economic data this week.

Also, the metal prices at LME will continue to influence the performance of the local market.
