The International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI) has announced the 80 biggest steel producing companies in 2006.

The first five biggest companies were ArcelorMittal, Nippon Steel Corp, JFE, Posco and Baosteel.

China's 30 companies are listed in the first 80 biggest steels producing companies in the world.

ArcelorMittal’s crude steel output raised by 6.8 percent to some 117 million tons in 2006. China's Baosteel produced about 22.5 million tons.
