According to the data from London Metal Exchange (LME), the trading of LME scrap and rebar slowed down in December 2017. Among them, the price of scrap increased while that of rebar decreased.

In December 2017, the volume of LME scrap totaled around 195,000 tons, and that of rebar was around 42,140 tons, a significant decline from the several months ago.

On December 29th, the settlement price of LME scrap was US$355.24/ton, up by 4% month on month; that of rebar was US$550.13/ton, down by 0.9% from the same period a month ago.
