Corus has officially commissioned their new pipe mill in Hartlepool, England. The mill can produce large diameter pipes with an outer diameter of 84 inches. These tubes are mainly used in liquefied natural gas, gas to liquid projects as well as in offshore gas pipelines. Most clients are from China, Indonesia, Nigeria and the USA. The mill also can produce special pipes for natural gas and GTL projects. The Hartlepool pipe works is now the main base for the Corus group’s pipe and tube production. (Feb. 17)
