Russian Mechel Group and trading company Steel Mont signed a long-term contract for coal supply. By the content of the contract, Mechel Group would offer 350,000 tons of metallurgical coal to Steel Mont from the Moscow coke-gas plant before the end of 2020.

The coal would be shipped from Mechel-Temryuk port in the south of Russia, and the other ports in the north and the Baltic Sea, and then delivered to European steel mills.

Mechel Group believed that despite fluctuation in global market prices, demand for metallurgical coal and coke would exist continuously.

On the other hand, at present Mechel Group signed several supply contracts with Asian steel mills and traders, actively achieving its annual capacity of 25 million tons and increasing its mining target by 25%.
