The Metal Forming Division of voestalpine, an Austria-based steelmaker, has inked a long-term agreement with two global truck manufacturers to supply them with high-tech special tubes and sections for the North American market.

voestalpine is now expanding the production capacity at its existing site in Jeffersonville, Indiana, with an investment of EUR 70 million, and 110 new jobs will be generated as well.

The production space of the site will also be expanded by around 15,000 square meters to ensure the production capacity required to manufacture high-quality structural components for Class 6, 7, and 8 trucks.

Moreover, the plant’s production capacity will be doubled to 80,000 tons, and production is scheduled for 2026.
