According to the report, the United States decided to conduct the investigation of the anti-dumping duty and countervailing duty on imported large diameter welded steel pipe from South Korea, Canada, Greece, India, China and Turkey. The petitioners for this investigation were American Line Pipe Producers Association, and Berg Steel Pipe Corp., Berg Spiral Pipe Corp., Dura-Bond Industries, Inc., Stupp Corporation and American Cast Iron Pipe Company also appealed against it.

Those enterprises appealed to implement the investigation and supported the anti-dumping duty rate of 23.52%, 53.01%, 25.69%, 50.55%, 138.61% and 27.83% for South Korea, Canada, Greece, India, China and Turkey, respectively.

The survey object was carbon steel and alloy welded steel pipes with an outside diameter above of 406.4 mm and used for the transportation of crude oil and natural gas.

The products involved the customs tariff codes of 7305.11.1030, 7305.11.1060, 7305.11.5000, 7305.12.1030, 7305.12.1060, 7305.12.5000, 7305.19.1030, 7305.19.1060, 7305.19.5000, 7305.31.4000, 7305.31.6090, 7305.39.1000 and 7305.39.5000.
