United States Aluminum Company (Alcoa called Alcoa), the world's 3rd largest producer of aluminum. In second half of 2016, United States aluminum will be split into two companies, and is expected to cut 1 million tons of alumina before the end of the 2nd quarter, the 2nd wave of layoffs in the near future.

Recently United States aluminum said, the company plans to split into 2 companies by the second half of this year, one dominated by automobile and aviation services; another is to significantly reduce smelter upstream companies operating.
