Currently, the global steel market seems to wake up by the coming of December. Not only China’s steel prices has rebounded, but also the prices of steel flat products in the US, Europe and Middle East countries have good performance.

Traders indicated that even Taiwan’s China’s Steel Corp. (CSC) and Chung Hung Steel have declined the steel prices for December; Taiwan’s domestic market has remained strong, affected by the uptrend in global steel market.

It’s known that the increase scope of steel flat products is around NT$500/ton averagely.

Dealers said that the current strong demand for steel was brought by the purchase for stockpile; furthermore, it’s expected that the prices would rise further by the end of year.
