AISI: US’ raw steel production in week ending Jun 14 slightly falls w-o-w

According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending June 14, 2025, the production of US’ raw steel totaled 1.783 million net tons, slightly decreasing by 0.1% from the same period a week ago and rising by 4.7% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 79.4%, falling by 0.1% week on week and rising by 2.7% year on year.

As of the week ending June 14, 2025, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ raw steel has amounted to 39.855 million short tons, basically keeping flat compared to 39.868 million tons in the same period a year ago. The capacity utilization rate was 75.5%, a year-on-year drop of 0.7%.
