India's biggest producer Tata Steel announced in 3rd quarter of fiscal year 2016-2017(end December 31), the company produced 3.15 million tons of crude steel, increased by 24% compared with the same period of 2015.

Meanwhile, liquid pig iron production was 3.4 million tons, increased by 27% compared with the same period of 2015. in December 2016, Tata Steel's finished steel production was 3.16 million tons, up by 26% compared with the same period of 2015, while steel sales amounted to 2.99 million tons, increased by 27.4% compared with the same period of 2015.
