On June 28, 2021, the European Commission announced to initiate the second anti-dumping (AD) sunset review investigation on molybdenum wires originating in China, following the request submitted on March 23, 2021 by Plansee SE that represents more than 25% of the total EU’s production of certain molybdenum wires.

The product involved is molybdenum wire, with a content by weight of at least 99.95% of molybdenum, of which the maximum cross-sectional dimension is more than 1.35 mm but not more than 4.0 mm, classified under CN code ex 8102 96 00 (TARIC codes 8102 96 00 11 and 8102 96 00 19).

The period of investigation was from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, and the injury assessment period was from January 1, 2017 to the end of the review investigation period.
