Danieli secured a contract to supply Acciaierie Venete with a cutting-edge 100-ton electric-arc furnace, set to be installed at the Padova Works in Italy. The new furnace, complete with a fume-treatment plant and material handling system, will enable the production of approximately 750,000 tons per year of high-quality, eco-friendly engineering steels.

Designed for fully automated, zero-man operations, the furnace prioritizes safety and environmental sustainability with low dust and low noise emissions. A standout feature is Danieli’s patented Digital Electromagnetic Stirring system (DEAS), which enhances the uniformity of liquid steel’s temperature and chemistry, boosting efficiency while reducing CO2 emissions and operational costs. This innovation also qualifies the project for government funding. The project is scheduled for completion by summer 2026, with a 6-week shutdown and swift ramp-up.
