It is reported that Vale's co-owned slab producer Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem (CSP) has exported 500,000 tons of slab from August 9th to December 9th, 2016.

The CSP’s 15th slab shipments to Turkey are expected of 54,000 tons. Once the goods to reach Turkey, CSP will export totaled 551,298 tons of slab through the port of Pecem.

The slabs are mainly exported to the United States, accounted for 23% of total exports; exported to Thailand, accounted for 19% of the total exports; exported to , Turkey, accounted for 12% of the total exports; exported to Taiwan, accounted for 10% of the total exports
