Due to the sluggish demand in the domestic market, China Steel Corp (CSC) is actively striving for abroad orders.

The company’s orders of hot rolled steel in April and May increased by 45~50 percent compared with that of the first three months. Most orders were from South East Asia and China.

Actually, there are few transactions, which were being concluded in the global market, as buyers are only looking for cheaper prices. CSC is trying to make their prices competitive for the global market. Taiwan’s downstream steelmakers also hope that CSC can offer them more favorable prices in the end of April.
