The largest Mexican steel company Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA) concluded its maintenance that cost 130 million Mexican pesos.

The maintenance work was carried out for two weeks, mainly in its Blast Furnace 5, the continuous casting, the coking plants, and service areas. Blast Furnace 5 has the biggest production capacity in AHMSA.

With this maintenance concluded, the largest integrated steel company in Latin America hoped to achieve an increase in steel production and sales, taking advantage of high steel prices both in the domestic and international markets.
