According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 31,000 tons of hot-rolled steel bars in February, a decrease of 8% compared to the preceding month and a drop of 2% from the same month of the previous year.

Among them, the delivery to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, with around 17,400 tons, a month-on-month hike of 3.5% and a year-on-year decrease of 1.3%. The second-largest destination was Canada with roughly 12,000 tons.

In terms of value, exports of these products amounted to nearly US$50 million, down by 3% month on month and by 9.5% year on year.
