Baosteel, a leading steelmaker in China, has raised its prices for March, with an increase from CNY 50 to 100 per ton (excluding tax).

According to the adjustments, an increase of CNY 100 per ton is applied to hot-rolled steel, thick steel plate, pickled, cold-rolled steel, hot-dip galvanized steel, electro-galvanized steel, aluminum-zinc coated steel, medium-aluminum-zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy coated steel, and non-oriented electrical steel.

A price hike of CNY 50 per ton is applied to high-aluminum-zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy coated steel, and the price is kept unchanged for grain-oriented electrical steel.

The price adjustment is effective immediately.
