Mexico's apparent consumption of CRC increases in Mar y-o-y, hitting fourth record high in past 27 months

According to data from Canacero, Mexico's steel industry association, in March, Mexico's apparent consumption of cold-rolled coils (CRC) increased by 9.1% year on year to about 385,000 metric tons, which was the fourth highest in the past 27 months. Despite high consumption, the production of CRC decreased by 7.9% year on year to 245,000 metric tons.

Meanwhile, the CRC imports climbed by 43.4% from the same month a year ago to 152,000 metric tons. On the contrary, the exports declined by 35% year on year to 13,000 metric tons.
