Vietnam’s steel products imports & exports increase in Apr m-o-m

In April, Vietnam’s steel products exports reached about 1.11 million tons, increasing by 0.9% from the previous month and by 14.4% year on year. The imports totaled about 1.28 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 10.7% but a year-on-year increase of 24.3%. Meanwhile, the country’s scrap imports were about 408,000 tons, decreasing by 11.6% month on month.

In the first four months of this year, the exports of steel products from Vietnam hiked by 33.7% year on year to 4.34 million tons. The imports amounted to 5.37 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 42.5%. During the same period, the scrap imports were 1.69 million tons, decreasing by 8% year on year.
