Glencore PLC, one of the world's largest globally diversified natural resource companies, declared its production performance in the first half of 2022. As of June 30, its copper output reached around 510,000 tons, dropping by 15% compared to the same period of last year. Besides, zinc production reached around 481,000 tons, dropping by 17% year on year.

Last year, Glencore spent about US$588 million to acquire two-thirds of the Cerrejon joint venture from BHP PLC and Anglo American PLC.

In the first six months of this year, Glencore's nickel output reached about 58,000 tons, growing by 21% year on year.

Glencore indicated that the annual production would keep unexchanged besides copper because of geotechnical constraints at Katanga's open pit and continued management of higher levels of acid-consuming ore.
