Nickle market fluctuates due to Indonesian government's changeable policy
16 Aug 2019 14:47 reported by Dennis Zhang
During the strong nickel price in these several months, market participants were looking carefully on the policy from the Indonesian government.
If the Indonesian government continued to implement its export ban in 2020, it would not create a big problem, which just changed the proportion between raw ore and nickel ore. However, if the Indonesia government decided to implement the export ban in advance, it would cause the nickel price rise further, and the impact range and time would be depended on the duration of the policy.
Since the Indonesian government’s policy was changeable recently, the nickel price fluctuated and its change still affected by the market information. Close attention should be paid to the details of the Indonesian government’s policy.
