According to The World Bureau of Metal statistics (WBMS) latest report showed that in January-June this year the global copper market supply gap was 197,000 tons, it was overcapacity around 372,000 tons in 2015.

In June, the global refined copper production was 1.9519 million tons, the consumption was 2.0407 million tons. World copper mine production was 10 million tons in January-June this year, an increase of 5.9% compared to the same period of last year.

Among them, China’s refined copper production rose significantly, an increase of 250,000 tons; Chile’s refined copper production increased of 28,000 tons.
