It is reported that market participant said that the increasing demand for rebar in Midwest market of the US would probably support the mills to lift the price.

With the warming weather and recovery of the construction industry, buyers have returned to the rebar market and the inquiries are going up in the market.

In addition, with the stable price of scrap in March, the rebar prices should have the power to go up.

Considering the current strong demand, market participant reckon that even the rebar price goes down by US$10/short ton, the mills and distributors would not cut the rebar price.
