Ozbal Celik Boru Sanayi Ticaret ve Taahhut A.S. (Ozbal Celik), a leading producer of spiral welded steel pipes in Turkey, reported its turnover fell to 21 million lira from 103 million lira in the first three quarters of this year, mainly due to sluggish domestic market and weak demand in the world.

The firm temporarily suspended a part of the production at certain sectors and all production at other sectors for a short time from February 1st to April 30th because of the weak market.

Besides, Ozbal Celik said it had no choice but to lay off 52 workers in the second quarter amid the sluggish market sentiment.
