The second quarter price of China Steel Corp. (CSC) had finally announced on March 8th, but recently the ordering speed of downstream customer became slowly since the market demands were getting weak. Therefore, they have not reached the goal of 3.1 million tons in the second quarter.

The expectation volume of the second quarter nearly met that in the first quarter. However, the internal market demands went down, they turned to intensify the export, In addition, besides some Asia countries such as Southeast Asia and China, the firm set some Middle East counties as the new expanding targets.

Due to the competitive EU market, costly internal production and scanty domestic construction, there were lots of inventories left in the downstream. Therefore, the current ordering volume of steel has not reached the expectation goal and the ordering speed was way behind the historical record.
