Severstal, one of the biggest steelmaker in Russia, has invested more than 1.2 billion rubles on production safety and injury prevention measures at the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant (CherMK) in 2021, comparable to 2020.

Severstal stated that the measure aims to eliminate fatal injuries in production and leads employees, managers at all levels, and contractors to pay more attention to safety issues.

The company will also continuously provide and update personal protective equipment to protect against harmful and dangerous production factors and to ensure maximum comfort during use.
