Sweden-based Sandvik, an engineering group in tooling, materials technology, mining and construction released its fourth-quarter financial results.

In the fourth quarter of 2014, the company realized net profits of SEK1.5 billion (US$182 million), soaring from SEK46 million in the same period a year ago. Its order intakes amounted to US$2.59 billion, down by 6% year on year.

Sandvik said that the demand during the quarter remained relatively unchanged.
