In the cold rolling mill of Chinese Magang (Group) Holding Company, the reversible cold rolling mill was successfully put into operation in August after being transformed by Primetals. It became the world's first steel mill to strengthen the UC rolling mill. After the equipment was strengthened, it could produce high-quality products.

Magang Group planned to reduce investment and maintenance costs, and expand production capacity of silicon steel to meet the increasing demand of the automotive industry.

Magang Group and Primetals signed this equipment transformation order in April 2017. Primetals was responsible for the supervision and production. After the transformation, the equipment could manufacture silicon steel with thickness of 0.3-0.65mm and width of 900-1280mm.
